The Reality of the South Hampstead 7+ Assessment.
/Only 24 girls are typically invited to join the school in Year 3.
Not many at all considering that hundreds and hundreds of girls will be applying for a place at South Hampstead at 7+.
On Tuesday 24th November, they will be holding an ‘Optional’ Taster session for all girls who have applied. If you would like your daughter to be considered for a place at South Hampstead at 7+, you will attend this session.
On Tuesday 5th January 2027, your daughter will be invited to attend her assessment. It will be half a day at school. Here is what they write about it, ‘The girls will be divided into small groups and sit tests in maths, writing and comprehension; we do not provide past papers. There will also be a round table discussion for which no preparation is required’.
Preparation is of course required for all aspects of this 7+ assessment.
