Highgate 4+ Round 1: How Did Your Child Get On?

I have heard back from several of our clients whose children were assessed yesterday at Highgate. We have several more students attending their 4+ Assessments at Highgate this week.

My clients have mostly all fed back to me.

Seems like the assessment went well and I heard positive things.

My students were asked to do this and that (everything that we prepare them to be able to go in and do!), they did some group activities and some one to one activities, my students went in happy and they came out happy.

Doesn’t really mean too much however. Going in happy and coming out happy is not an indication of having passed the first round at Highgate unfortunately.

With over 500 applicants being assessed at Round 1 and with only 180 being called back, this process will be a nail biting one up until we hear the results of who has passed and who has not.

Who has made it to the second round and who has not.

We shall wait and see.

Typically results of the first Round 4+ Assessments at Highgate are released at the end of November.

Does this mean you stop preparing your child whilst you wait?

That’s what most parents will do.

After all, what’s the point in preparing for Round 2 if he/she doesn’t even pass Round 1?

Wrong mindset.

Surely you are applying to other schools too and also your child’s development shouldn’t just stop just because of an assessment outcome. Makes zero sense to me.

Please don’t take your foot off the gas just because Round 1 at Highgate is over for your child. Go full speed and take Massive Action to continue preparing your child.

After all - 180 candidates will be called back to Round 2 at Highgate.

Only 60 of these will pass and be offered a firm place.

There will be some Waitlisted places offered - of course. But a Waitlisted place doesn’t guarantee a place.

All the best to you all!

And if you are preparing for Highgate for 2028 entry and beyond, the time to get started was 2 months ago! My programme is a 12 month programme for 4+ Assessment Preparation.
