Is your child preparing for their 7+ for 2026 entry?

You must ensure that you have covered ALL genres of writing.

Each school will be different in terms of how they will assess writing. So it is important to know what could potentially come up and prepare our children to go in and have the highest chances for success in their writing.

Most schools will have a writing assessment. Usually it will be a fiction story writing task but it could also be another genre. Is your child aware of the other genres? Does your child know how to write in other forms? Would you child know how to format and structure a letter for example? Would your child know the features of a diary entry and how to write an excellent diary?

Join our Company Director Maria Mazarese for this incredible 60 minute Masterclass and ensure that your child is comfortable writing in any genre presented to them in their 7+ Assessment.

The last thing you want is for your child to be presented with a genre that they know nothing about or that they are not as confident in perhaps as other genres.

In this 60 minute Masterclass, Maria will cover the following genres.

Explanations

Formal letter writing

Instructional writing

Interviews/debates

Narrative writing

Report writing

Non Chronological reports

Persuasion

By the end of the Masterclass your child will be able to:

Write in any of the above genres

Understand the features of each genre

Have created a detailed poster for each genre to help them to revise

Your child will also receive a pack of resources to support them with their revision for this part of the 7+ Assessment.
